COOKING RECIPES-

Any special day or guests coming over you need to try this one. Truly Indulging

For Paste : ( Serves 4-5 )

2 tbsp oil
1 bay leaf
1 inch cinnamon 2 piece
1 tsp cumin
2 green chilly
2 clove
1 cardamom
3 medium onion
3 tomatoes
Salt to taste
1.5 tbsp melon seeds or 1.5 tsp poppy seeds
8-10 cashews

For gravy:

1 tbsp oil
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1/2 tsp ginger
1 green chilly
1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tbsp kasturi Methi
1 tsp sugar
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp Garam masala
2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
2 tbsp cream
50 gms grated paneer
200-250 gms paneer cubed
1 n 1/2 cup water

1. For paste. Sauté green chilly, cloves, onion for 3-4 minutes. Once onion browns add remaining Ingredints and cook for 3-4 minutes till the mix leaves oil. Cool remove bay leaf and cinnamon piece and then purée the remaining mix. Add a splash of water if needed

2. For gravy, heat oil & butter, sauté ginger and garlic. Add the paste and cook 2 minutes, add spices, kasturi Methi and cook another 2 minutes. Add 1 n 1/2 cup water, sugar or honey. Next cover and cook for 5-7 minutes
3. Finish with cream and grated paneer, mix well & cook for a minute or two
4. Add paneer cubes and garnish with coriander leaves and fried onion.


Substitute for melon seed : add 2 tsp poppy seeds or skip it
