This fish is called baanspata or bamboo leaves as it resembles those. This is a very simple dish cooked in mustard paste.
No need to fry the fish.
Add oil in a kadhai. Sprinkle panch foron (5spices),cumin seeds, dried red chillies and stir.To the oil add some jeera powder,slightly stir and pour 1 cup water so that it doesn't burn. Add salt and turmeric powder as per taste. When it (jhol)starts simmering add the salt and turmeric marinated raw fish into the gravy. Let it come to boil. To this add mustard seeds,ginger, and green Chilli paste to the grave. Let it simmer again for 5mins. Aaand,done!❤️
