Ingredients for marination:
1 lb chicken thigh
2-3 tbsp Greek Yogurt
Half lemon juice
thumb of Ginger, finely grated
2 cloves of Garlic
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Garam Masala
Ingredients for the sauce:
1 tbsp butter
2 yellow onions, chopped
thumb of Ginger, finely grated
2 cloves of Garlic
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tbsp Garam masala
1 tsp ground Cumin
15 oz (425ml) Tomato Sauce
1 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Paprika
1 tbsp Cayenne Pepper
10 fl oz (300ml) Heavy Cream
Note: you can always increase the spices amounts
Instructions:
1- Marinate the chicken thigh for fours hours or overnight
2- Cook the marinated chicken at medium high heat until golden brown.
3- Add butter to the same pan and sauté onions until soft and translucent. Add garlic and ginger and sauté for 30-45 seconds. Then, add turmeric, garam masala and cumin.
4-Add tomato sauce, salt, paprika and cayenne pepper. Simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens, and takes on a deep reddish brown color.
5- Add heavy cream and chicken cook until mixture is bubbling, and thick.
